Pluton is the fruit of intertwining relations, where stories of disparate bodies gave rise to a series of portraits. Between confrontations, interference and legacies passed on, generations engage in a dialogue, one that leads to flourishing collaborations. Renowned for dance that confounds and calls into question the codes of representation and the performers’ relationship to the spectator and to the space, La 2e Porte à Gauche features seasoned dancers launched into the orbit of visionary young artists. With Linda Rabin, Jean-Sébastien Lourdais has chosen the path of sensuality, while Catherine Gaudet and Louise Bédard portray a troubling ambiguity. With Virginie Brunelle, Daniel Soulières and Ginette Laurin, the effect is visceral. What separates them is sidereal, what unites them is dizzying. Together they generate a chain reaction, a rendezvous with the memory of things to come.
