Jointly organized by the Whitney Museum and the Research Center for Arts and Culture, this
panel discussion will feature artists who have participated in the ART CART: SAVING THE
LEGACY project.
Artists Zigi Ben-Haim, Niki Berg, Sonia Gechtoff and Ray Grist will share their
insights on the challenges of working in place, making art over the course of a life-time and
preparing for the future. Joan Jeffri, Founder and Director of the Research Center for Arts and
Culture founded at Columbia University and now at The Actors Fund, will introduce the program and moderate the discussion.
Planned in conjunction with Carmen Herrera: Lines of Sight, an exhibition of the Cuban-born
painter who at 101 years old continues to create work every day in her studio, the panel will be
followed by a reception, and a private viewing of the Carmen Herrera exhibition.OcPlease visit http://whitney.org/Events/YourFuturelsHere to register. This event is free with advance registration.
